Girard Translator

What Happend to 92.5 in Girard?

We regret to inform everyone, and particularly our west county listeners who have enjoyed the programming of WCTL for many years on the Girard translator at 92.5 FM, that it has been necessary to stop broadcasting on that frequency as of Friday, November 9, 2012. This step was done to comply with FCC regulations that protect full-power stations over translators. The signing on of a new full-power radio station at 92.7 FM required the discontinuation of the broadcasting of WCTL on the Girard translator at 92.5 FM.

Negotiations are underway to try to restore a strong signal on a different frequency to west county residents as soon as possible. However, this involves engineering studies, legal fees, and the acquisition of new equipment. Please join the staff and board of Inspiration Time, Inc. and WCTL, along with our partners in the Girard translator project, Girard Alliance Church, in praying for God’s leading and provision.

If you are interested in assisting in the restoration of a translator signal in the Girard area, please contact WCTL General Manager Ron Raymond @ rraymond@wctl.org. In the meantime, please continue to listen to WCTL on our main signal at 106.3 FM, in downtown Erie at 105.9 FM, in North East at 99.1, and via the live stream at wctl.org.

Thank you for your prayers and support. It is a blessing to partner in ministry with you!
